Why SkillMe

Every resume says “knows React”.
Yours will prove it.

Thousands of students finish the same courses and list the same skills. What makes you stand out is work someone can actually open, check and verify.

The usual way
  • Hours of tutorials, nothing you built yourself
  • A certificate just for watching the videos
  • Nobody ever reviews your work
  • Nothing to show when an interviewer asks
The SkillMe way
  • One real internship, completed milestone by milestone
  • A certificate backed by approved work
  • Real people review every submission
  • Public posts and a portfolio link you can share

Who it's for

For students who are done waiting for “experience”

You don't need an internship to get an internship. You need proof. Here's where SkillMe fits in.

1st & 2nd year

Get ahead early

Land your first real internship while others are still picking a course. Walk into internship season with work to show.

3rd & final year

Be placement-ready

Turn “familiar with” into “built and shipped”. Give interviewers an internship, a portfolio link and a certificate they can verify.

Switching tracks

Prove a new skill fast

Moving from web to AI, or from theory to practice? Four weeks gets you a reviewed internship in your new field.

Selective by design

We'd rather take students who finish than fill seats.

Every submission here is reviewed by a real person, and that takes time. So we read every internship request and shortlist the students we think will see all four weeks through.

  • Internship requests are read by hand. Nobody is auto-accepted.
  • Work that misses the bar comes back. With notes on what to fix.
  • No participation certificates. You need 3 of 4 milestones approved.
This is not for you if
  • you want a certificate without doing the work
  • you can't give it 2–3 hours a week for 4 weeks
  • you'd rather watch another tutorial than ship something

Still here? Good. That's exactly who we're looking for.

01What are the requirements for this internship?

Basic knowledge of your chosen track and a short screening quiz — that's it. Once you're in, you work remotely at your own pace, build each week's milestone and submit it as a LinkedIn post. Your verified certificate + LOR unlock at the end, once 3 of your 4 weekly milestones are approved.

Screening quiz100% remote
02Does everyone who applies get in?

No. Every internship request is read by our team and we shortlist the students we think will complete all four weeks. The quiz checks your basics, but your answer to “Why do you want to join?” matters just as much, so take it seriously. If you're shortlisted, you'll hear from us within 48 hours.

03How is my performance evaluated?

Every weekly submission is reviewed by the SkillMe team against that week's acceptance criteria. Your progress is the number of approved milestones out of 4. Top performers are highlighted to our hiring partners for direct referrals.

04How much time does it take?

The internship is 4 weeks long, with one project milestone per week. You work at your own pace within your 4-week window. Most students spend 2–3 hours a week on tasks — it's fully remote and flexible.

05Do I need prior experience to apply?

Basic knowledge of your chosen domain is recommended (fundamentals, not expert level). The screening quiz covers basics to make sure you're ready. You don't need prior internship experience — that's exactly what SkillMe provides.

06How do the weekly tasks work?

Each week has one milestone on your project, with clear requirements and acceptance criteria in your dashboard. Build it, share it as a LinkedIn post using the caption we provide, and paste the post link into your dashboard. The SkillMe team reviews it and approves the milestone or tells you what to fix.

07How is the certificate verified?

Every certificate has a unique ID and QR code. Anyone — a recruiter, college, or employer — can visit our verification page, enter the ID, and see your certificate details including name, domain, issue date, and duration. It's fully tamper-proof and publicly verifiable.

08What does the placement assistance include?

Top interns get access to our hiring partner network — startups and product companies that actively recruit from SkillMe. Top performers also get direct referrals from our team to relevant openings and a Letter of Recommendation (LOR).

09Can I do internships in multiple tracks?

Absolutely. Each domain is an independent internship with its own timeline, projects, and certificate. Many students do 2–3 domains to build a diverse project portfolio. Each one adds a new set of approved milestones and a new certificate to your profile.
